The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts announces that Base Element has received three Silver W³ Awards in 2019 for its work for “The 'Anama Concept”.

October 3rd. In its 2019 participation in the W³ Awards competition, Base Element has won three Silver Awards for the design and development of the website for “The 'Anama Concept”, an exclusive wine-brand designed to target the international wine audience. The European digital agency was awarded a Silver W³ Award in each of the following categories:
  • Website Features-Visual Appeal - Aesthetics for Websites
  • Website Features-Visual Appeal - Experience for Websites
  • General Website Categories-Food & Beverage for Websites
The success of the website is an important achievement considering how competitive the “Food & Beverage” category is globally.

This is the 2nd consecutive year that the European Digital Agency Wins 3 Silver W³ Awards, having won in 2018 for its work for Inibar Services.

“The 'Anama Concept” is an exclusive wine-brand designed to target the international wine audience. Offering high value products and experiences, the brand reflects the uniqueness of the historical wine culture of Cyprus. The 'Anama Vintages project is the result of a long -term study on Cyprus's tradition & terroir, while considering a modern concept of quality and design.

A collection of wines in line with the islands' traditional Commandaria (terroir, varieties, oak aging etc.), 'Anama is perhaps more sophisticated and at the same time follows a more refined and adventurous protocol. The vineyard cultivation, as well as the winemaking and aging of the wines/ spirits are scientifically designed, operated however mainly by hands and tools, therefore minimizing the use of machinery.

The primary objective of the project, that was designed and developed by Base Element in cooperation with “The 'Anama Concept” Creative Director Mrs Kristina Apostolou Mohianakis, was to highlight the exclusive & premium character of the brand, the differentiating elements of the wine and the Concept’s brand values. Emphasizing the brand’s exclusive character through the design of the website was key in promoting the brand in international wine markets.

Base Element worked in close cooperation with “The 'Anama Concept” management team to understand and clarify their business objectives, identify and crystallize their strengths, address their weaknesses and prepare the basic elements that would lead to a state-of-the-art and fully functional website that would reflect the premium and exclusive character of the brand.

Base Element employed the latest trends in UX/UI design to create an intuitive web journey, connecting users from each target segment to the information and pages that best relate to their individual needs and unique circumstances.

Through the information architecture and the sophisticated design, Base Element built an award winning website that helps visitors understand the story, the products and the characteristics of this wine brand.
George Iacovou, Director of Base Element notes: “Winning three Silver W³ Awards for a second consecutive year is a great honour and a great reward for all our hard work. It’s a fantastic feeling and it means a lot to us at every level of the company. We are especially very proud for the Experience Award as UX/UI is an area where our agency has significantly invested during the last years, and we are very happy that our efforts are now being recognised by the community of global experts.”
